The Recipe Project
In this project we researched a dish that has an origin from a Spanish speaking country. We also had to find how if was brought into Spanish culture.
Guacamole
3 avocados, halved, seeded and peeled
1 lime, juiced
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
1/2 medium onion, diced
2 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
1 clove garlic, minced
En un gran bol colocar la recogió pulpa de aguacate y jugo de limón,. Escurrir y reservar el jugo de limón, después de que todos los aguacates se han recubierto. El uso de un machacador de papas agregar la sal, comino y pimienta y puré. Luego, doblar por la cebolla, los tomates, el cilantro y el ajo. Añadir 1 cucharada de jugo de limón reservados. Deje reposar a temperatura ambiente durante 1 hora y luego servir.

Guacamole was made by the Aztecs during the 16th century. They called it āhuacamolli which literally translates to avocado sauce. The Spaniards called the guacamole as “the salad of the alligator pear.”
